The
Story
Nutcracker On
Ice is a holiday fairy tale about a young girl, Claire, and a magical
Christmas night. The story begins as Claires family and friends gather
for their annual Christmas celebration. Drosselmeyer, Claires Godfather,
arrives with presents for everyone, including a spectacular Nutcracker doll for
his favorite Godchild. As the party winds down and the guests head home, Claire
goes off to bed, excited about her new gift. She eventually falls asleep, and
with a little help from Drosselmeyers magic, her dream begins.
Suddenly, Claires home is transformed into an enchanted land where rats and toy soldiers are engaged in a battle... and the Nutcracker comes to life. The battle is won when the Nutcracker defeats the King Rat and saves Claire. Together, Claire and the Nutcracker journey to the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy. They are delighted by dancers from around the world. As her dream ends, Claire awakens with special memories of a most magical Christmas.
