Amanda Bates started skating at a very young age and taught for seven years at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville before moving to East Tennessee.

She has passed ISI Freestyle 8 and Dance 5, as well as USFS Novice Free, Senior Moves in the Field, and Bronze Dance.

She has also completed her Gold-level ISI Judging Certification. Her most memorable time on the ice included a family spotlight she skated with her younger brothers and father.

Amanda is also a Registered/Licensed Dietitian with a Bachelor's in Nutrition and Food Science and a Master's in Clinical Nutrition.
