Chika Turner was introduced to skating and began learn-to-skate classes at the age of 3 in Western Kentucky, where she was born and raised. She then joined OFSC at the age of 7 and competed in her first competition at the Ice Chalet.

Her love for the sport continued through her teenage years and into adult life, coaching basics through freestyle level skaters, from young children to adults. She enjoys choreographing and supporting her skaters throughout the process, and witnessing them achieve their goals.

Chika has passed Freestyle 6 and completed USFS Moves in the Field Novice. She moved to Knoxville in 2019 for college, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Health Science in 2024. She is happy to be back on the ice at the rink she always looked forward to visiting while growing up.
